About

Hi there, I’m Kelly.

I’m a Principal Clinical Research Scientist on the Research & Impact Team at Crisis Text Line. Previously, I was the Director of Research at Franciscan Children's Hospital in Brighton, MA and a Research Scientist in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Auburn University. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship in the Nock Lab at Harvard University, where I worked in collaboration with the Military Suicide Research Consortium and Army STARRS.

My research is focused on improving the prediction and prevention of suicide. I have a particular interest in exploring how technology can be harnessed to identify at-risk individuals and deliver interventions outside of traditional healthcare settings. My research has been published in 50+ scientific papers and has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Department of Defense.

As a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Massachusetts (License #11869), I maintain a psychotherapy private practice and am an affiliate psychologist at Two Brattle Center.
